CameraTag is responsible for the processing of personal data it receives, under the Privacy Shield Framework, and subsequently transfers to a third party acting as an agent on its behalf. CameraTag complies with the Privacy Shield Principles for all onward transfers of personal data from the EU, including the onward transfer liability provisions.

With respect to personal data received or transferred pursuant to the Privacy Shield Framework, CameraTag is subject to the regulatory enforcement powers of the U.S. Federal Trade Commission. In certain situations, CameraTag may be required to disclose personal data in response to lawful requests by public authorities, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements.

CameraTag is commited to cooperate with EU data protection authorities (DPAs) and the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) and comply with the advice given by such authorities with regard to data transferred from the EU and Switzerland in the context of the employment relationship.

What information does CameraTag collect from you?

We collect and store the following types of information from our users:

Information You Provide to Us:

We receive and store any information you enter on the Website or provide to us in any other way.The types of information collected include your name, e-mail address, and any other data you actively choose to provide. You may choose not to provide us with certain information, but then you may not be able to take advantage of many of our special features. The information you provide is used for such purposes as responding to your requests for certain information, products and services, customizing the advertising and content you see, and communicating with you about specials and new features. You may modify or remove any of your account information at any time by logging into your account and accessing features to edit your profile and account information.

We collect but do not store your credit card information. Our billing system subcontractor, who is PCI-DSS compliant, stores this information.


Information Collected Automatically:

As is true of most websites and platform providers, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information may include Internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, the file viewed on our site (e.g., HTML pages, graphics, etc.), operating system, date/time stamp, and/or clickstream data to analyze trends in the aggregate and administer the site and platform. IP addresses are hashed after 30 days.

We do not link this automatically collected data to other information we collect about you.

We may receive correspondence from you from time to time in connections with our Website and our services, including questions you may have about this Privacy Policy, customer support interactions or other matters.

We may share Aggregate Data publicly and with our partners. For example, we may share information publicly to show trends about the general use of our Website and our service. As such, CameraTag reserves the right to transfer your information outside of the country in which you live. By using our Website and our services you consent to any such transfer.

Is information about me secure?

Your CameraTag account information is protected by a password for your privacy and security. You need to ensure authorized access to your account and information by selecting and protecting your password appropriately and limiting access to your computer and browser by signing off after you have finished accessing your account.

When you enter sensitive information (such as a credit card number or login credentials) on our forms, we encrypt the transmission of that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL). CameraTag endeavors to protect user information to ensure that user account information is kept private, however, CameraTag cannot guarantee the security of user account information. Unauthorized entry or use, hardware or software failure, and other factors may compromise the security of user information at any time. You may change the privacy settings of your profile through your account portal. If you believe that an unauthorized profile has been created about you, you can request for it be removed by contacting us at

The CameraTag support forum requires you to be an existing CameraTag customer to post to it. Your profile and settings can be managed through your general account settings. To delete your profile you will need to cancel your CameraTag account.

The Website contains links to other sites. CameraTag is not responsible for the privacy policies and/or practices on other sites. When linking to another site a user should read the privacy policy stated on that site. This Privacy Policy only governs information collected on the Website.

Our Website also includes Social Media Features, such as the Facebook Like button and Widgets, such as the Share this button or interactive mini-programs that run on our Website. These Features may collect your IP address, which page you are visiting on our site, and may set a cookie to enable the Feature to function properly. Social Media Features and Widgets are either hosted by a third party or hosted directly on our Website. Your interactions with these Features are governed by the privacy policy of the company providing it.

Please be aware that whenever you voluntarily post information to public areas on the Website or any other public forums, such information can be accessed by the public.

Our blog is managed by a third party application that may require you to register to post a comment. We do not have access or control of the information posted to the blog. You will need to contact or login into the third party application if you want the information that was posted to the comments section removed. CameraTag allows you to access the following information about you for the purpose of viewing, and in certain situations, updating that information by logging in to your account or contacting us at support@cameratag.com  We will respond to your request to access within 30 days. This list will change as the Website changes. You may currently access the following information:

  • video and image content in your account.

As stated previously, you can always opt not to disclose information, even though it may be needed to take advantage of certain CameraTag features.

You may request deletion of your CameraTag account or if you wish to cancel your account or request that we no longer use your information to provide you services contact us at support@cameratag.com  Please note that some information may remain in our records after deletion of your account. We will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

CameraTag may use a user’s e-mail address to send updates, a newsletter or news regarding the Website or CameraTag services. Please note that if you do not want to receive legal notices from us, such as this Privacy Policy, those legal notices will still govern your use of the Website, and you are responsible for reviewing such legal notices for changes.

Information related to data collected for our developers and other clients

CameraTag acknowledges that you have the right to access your personal information. CameraTag collects information under the direction of its developers and other clients, and has no direct relationship with the end users whose personal data it processes. If you are a customer of one of our developers or other clients that use our service and would no longer like to be contacted by them, please contact the developer or other client of ours that you interact with directly. We may transfer certain information related to data collected for our developers or other clients to companies that help us provide our service. Transfers of such information to subsequent third parties are covered by the service agreements between CameraTag and its developers or other clients.

An end user who seeks access, or who seeks to correct, amend, or delete inaccurate data should direct his query to the CameraTag’s developer or other client (the data controller). If requested to remove data we will respond within 30 days.

We will retain personal data we process on behalf of our developers and other clients for as long as needed to provide services to our developer or other client CameraTag will retain this information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

CameraTag features many optional third party integrations (for example YouTube Export, Slack Notifications, Google Cloud Export etc.). Opting into these features may require the transport of your data to third party. By choosing to enable these features you are agreeing that your use of these services and any data provided to them on your behalf will be governed by the processing policies, privacy policies and terms of use provided by these third parties. CameraTag may make changes to this Privacy Policy from time to time for any reason. Use of information we collect now is subject to the Privacy Policy in effect at the time such information is used. Users are bound by any changes to the Privacy Policy when he or she uses the Website after such changes have been first posted.
